Is ascension needed for Canthan characters to go to uw and fow? - Guild Wars Forums

I have a necro that I started off in Factions, and I would like to take her to uw for the usual farming trips.

Does anyone know, is it necessary to complete the tyrian ascension before she can go?

You will need to "Ascend", either Canthan or Tyrian version of it.

Canthan "Ascension" comes after you complete the mission at Nahpui Quarter (Weh-no-Su, Closer to Stars-thing), after which you will be able to enter FoW and UW at ToA and at Zin Ku Corridor in Cantha.

So does this mean after you 'ascend' in Factions Cantha you can also use this Canthan character in Prophecies TOA FoW and UW?

Yeah sounds like it. Brilliant it'll save me loads of time having to mess around doing the tyrian ascension.

Yes. My canthan monk goes to FoW/UW regularly through Temple of Ages. I havent done the desert missions or ascended in Tyria but I have done the Naphui quarter mission.
